Regional Sales Manager North America

Location: In a major regional US center, preferably North Central or South Central

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manger (RSM) is responsible for managing all attributes of the business in North America.  The position is a key, quota-carrying, (initially) individual contributor role.  The RSM will manage and coordinate the activities of all Channel Sales Managers, Sales Managers and Sales Engineers in the region. Duties will include sales of product to clients, support activities, hiring and training of local staff in the region, appointing distribution and value added reseller channels, and significant involvement in the definition and realization of solutions to current and future customer needs.

The ideal candidate will possess an excellent understanding of the fixed broadband wireless access market, AirTegrity™ products, the advantages of the AirTegrity™ solutions, and business drivers that motivate customers to buy. The RSM should have the ability to understand new technologies and be self-motivated to keep up with industry events. This is a new, fast-moving industry (WiMAX, IEEE 802.16) and it will require the successful candidate to become completely immersed into the role. Compensation is very competitive and includes base salary, commission, bonuses, and stock incentives. Responsibilities

  • Establish and grow the business (including refinement and execution of the sales strategy, identification and nurturing of leads, closing deals, etc).
  • Manage all attributes of day-to-day North American sales development.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge and ability to represent AirTegrity’s™ product lines and positioning relative to key competitors’ product lines.
  • Take predominant responsibility for all sales and support activities (including attracting and hiring appropriately qualified sales and support staff).
  • Establish and sell compelling business case (including establishment of key business relationships, identification of potential customers’ business needs, advising customers of the value proposition of AirTegrity's™ products and services, and addressing queries and objections).
  • Deliver consistent and on-plan revenue through skilled pipeline management.
  • Utilize and update Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and provide timely reports as required.
  • Represent the Company at appropriate events (e.g. sales conferences).
  • Perform other duties TBD as required at the direction of senior staff.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 7+ years successful technology sales experience.
  • Extensive Rolodex® of executive-level contacts in appropriate industries.
  • Consistent track record of penetrating new accounts and exceeding goals…a hunter, not a farmer.
  • Excellent oral and written interpersonal and communication skills needed to engage both technical and business client executives.
  • Strong organizational skills, work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Professional maturity (demonstrated solid judgment in difficult situations).
  • Technical aptitude, resourcefulness, and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.
  • Realistic forward-thinking, aggressive, can-do attitude and drive.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook®, Excel®, Word®, Visio® and CRM tools.
  • Fixed Broadband Wireless or similar Internet industry experience desirable.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
